Mark E. Murphy, MD, FACP, AGAF

Dr. Murphy specializes in treating liver disease and inflammatory bowel disease. After obtaining his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia, he completed a gastroenterology fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Murphy is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine, and is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American College of Physicians. He currently teaches at Mercer University School of Medicine and is affiliated with Memorial University Medical Center, St. Joseph’s Hospital and Candler Hospital. Edward Rydzak, MD, AGAF

Dr. Rydzak specializes in treating esophageal disorders, pancreatic and liver disorders, colon cancer, therapeutic endoscopy and stomach disorders. He obtained his medical degree at Albany Medical College, and completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Rydzak is board certified in hepatology, internal medicine and gastroenterology. He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association and teaches at Mercer University School of Medicine. Steven L. Carpenter, MD, AGAF, FACP, FASGE

Dr. Carpenter is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia and completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of Michigan. Dr. Carpenter specializes in endoscopic ultrasound and gastrointestinal oncology. He currently serves as Academic Chair for the Department of Internal Medicine Residency Program at Mercer University School of Medicine, Savannah campus. Charles W. Duckworth, MD

Dr. Duckworth specializes in Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and pancreatic disease. He obtained his MD from the Medical College of Georgia and completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of Virginia. Mark R. Nyce, MD

Dr. Nyce received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College. Subsequently, he completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of Virginia. Dr. Nyce is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine. His area of expertise is inflammatory bowel disease. Ryan C. Wanamaker, MD

Dr. Wanamaker is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine. He obtained a medical degree and completed fellowships in gastroenterology and hepatology at the University of North Carolina. George C. Aragon, MD

Dr. Aragon is board certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville, where he was an Honor Graduate. While at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennesee, he served as a preceptor for medical students taking the physical diagnosis course and was an advisor for undergraduate students considering careers in the health sciences. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at George Washington prior to beginning his gastroenterology fellowship at that institution.
