Dr. Carpenter is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia and completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of Michigan. Dr. Carpenter specializes in endoscopic ultrasound and gastrointestinal oncology. He currently serves as Academic Chair for the Department of Internal Medicine Residency Program at Mercer University School of Medicine, Savannah campus. Dr. Carpenter is affiliated with Memorial University Medical Center, St. Joseph’s Hospital and Candler Hospital.
