Virtual Visits

Share:

The Center for Digestive and Liver Health is happy to now offer virtual telehealth visits to our patients. Telehealth is a secure, two-way video consultation where you can privately interact with your healthcare provider from the convenience of your home.

No matter where you are, your provider can help you with a variety of care needs, routine follow-up visits, chronic disease and medication management, reviewing test or lab results, health lifestyle coaching and more.

We are pleased to have the technology to implement virtual visits. Virtual visits or "telehealth" offers patients the opportunity to have a doctor visit without coming into the office. If you have a smartphone, tablet, computer with internet connection and an email address, your doctor's appointment may be approved for a virtual visit.

What is a virtual visit?

A virtual visit is the practice of telemedicine and this service offers patients remote access to their medical provider via technology such as a computer, tablet, or mobile devise. The provider and patient are not physically present with each other; however, they are able to see and hear each other and correspond as if they were in the same room.

Due to the current public health emergency surrounding COVID-19, we want to keep you abreast of processes we have implemented to protect the health of our patients, employees, and the community.
If you have symptoms of cough, fever, or shortness of breath AND think you may have been in close contact with a person known to have COVID-19 or traveled to an area with cases of the virus, call your primary care physician’s office for further instruction. We also ask that for the safety of our patients and staff ask you not come into the office, rather schedule a virtual visit!

What do I need for a virtual visit?

There are some technological requirements we suggest to ensure you have a seamless experience.
  • Make sure you are using a device with a webcam, microphone and strong internet connection such as a laptop, smartphone or tablet.
  • For the optimal experience, use the Google Chrome web browser on your laptop or desktop computer.
  • Provide your email address to our office at the time of scheduling.
